The six-week program
Structure for the work.
Room for your starting point.
Your placement test sets your starting point. Further tests from week 3 onward help you check in as you progress.
- WEEK 01 Train your sets
- WEEK 02 Train your sets
- WEEK 03 Train + check in
- WEEK 04 Train + check in
- WEEK 05 Train + check in
- WEEK 06 Train + check in
This is a six-week program, not a promise of a specific result. Your personal goal is separate from
the training plan.
Bronze · Silver · Gold
A level to train from.
Not a label to live up to.
Let the test determine your level, or choose Bronze, Silver, or Gold manually before you commit it.
A level must be chosen before training can start.
Bronze
One of three program levels, with its own prescribed sets. Find your fit with the placement test.
Silver
One of three program levels, with its own prescribed sets. Find your fit with the placement test.
Gold
One of three program levels, with its own prescribed sets. Find your fit with the placement test.
In the workout
You do the reps.
Pushynator keeps the order.
One set at a time
Follow the prescribed sets in sequence, with a rest timer between them.
Record what actually happened
Mark success or failure and enter actual reps where the workout asks for them.
A retry, not a lost week
A failed day resets that day and later days in the same week, at the same level. Earlier successful days stay; every attempt remains in history.
Make progress visible
See the work
you’ve put in.
Your dashboard brings the next training, weekly progress, streak, today’s reps, a seven-day chart, and your personal goal together.
The bigger picture
Track overall push-ups, set success rate, weekly bars, and the last seven days.
Your history stays useful
Revisit successful sessions and retry attempts. Before you train, a clear empty state shows where to begin.

A target that’s yours
Keep your ambition
in sight.
Choose a goal from 30 to 100 consecutive push-ups, in steps of 10. Change it whenever you want.
Log your best manually, or let tests update it automatically. Your target helps you stay focused; it does not change the program or guarantee you’ll reach it.
Local or account
Your training. Your choice of storage.
Get started without an account, or keep your progress backed up with one.
Stay local
No sign-up needed. Your training and progress are saved on this device.
Use an account
Sign up or log in with email/password or Google to back up and synchronize your data.
Account storage is not simultaneous real-time multi-device sync. If local and account data conflict
at login, you choose which dataset to keep; it overwrites the other dataset.
Stay in the rhythm
A nudge for your
next session.
Reminders can support your routine. How they work depends on where you use Pushynator.
Web / PWA · while the app is open
Web reminders work only while Pushynator is open. Closing the app stops those reminders.
Android / iOS · local reminders
Android and iOS support local reminders even when the app is closed.
Good to know
A few questions
before your first rep.
The practical details, without the fine-print surprises.
Do I need an account?
No. Choose local storage to train without signing up. Use email/password or Google if you want an account for backup and synchronization.
Where should I start?
The recommended first step is a 60-second placement test. It determines your starting point; 21 or more push-ups starts you at week 3. You can also select a level manually before committing it.
What happens if I fail a training day?
That day and the following days in the same week reset at your current level. Earlier successful days are preserved, and your attempts remain in history.
Will the program get me to 100 push-ups?
There is no guaranteed result. You can choose a goal of 30–100 consecutive push-ups, in steps of 10. The goal does not change the six-week training program.
Can I move between local and account storage?
At login, conflicting local and account progress can require a choice of which dataset to keep. The selected dataset overwrites the other. Account synchronization is not simultaneous real-time multi-device sync.
Will reminders work with the app closed?
Not on the web or PWA: reminders work only while the app is open. Android and iOS support local reminders while the app is closed.
A note from the maker

While on holiday in Croatia, our apartment host told me about a 100 push-up training program he had found online.
I had tried push-up training several times over the years, but never stuck with it. What was missing was a reason to keep going: an app that held me to the routine and showed my progress.
Indie developers are often advised to build something they need themselves. With AI speeding up development, I decided to build an AI-assisted app for my own training, and the first code was written on 2 December 2025. My hope is that it gives me and everyone else a simple, short and efficient program for the upper body, ideally up to 100 push-ups in a row.
